So trying to do a two year old's. who does not like to sit still for long's hair, can be difficult at times. I try to keep her hair routine and the products that I use simple.
I tend to use mostly, shea moisture products. They are my all time favorite hair care products to use on Alexa's hair right now. Simple because they are affordable, can be easily found, and makes my life over all easy.
Here's the run down on what I use majority of the time...
For wash days, which are usually once a week I love using the Shea Moisture extra-nourishing kids shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo cleanses her hair with out stripping it of her natural oils completely. The conditioner works pretty well. It provides slip and helps make the detangaling process easy. Which is a bonus when you have a toddler who absolutely hates getting her hair washed.
After I have washed and conditioned her hair as a leave in I just use a tiny bit more of the conditioner and seal it with coconut oil. Then just place a few twists and BAM, I can take her out of the tub because at this point she's screaming and mommy im about to have a slight mental break down.
I do like to co-wash her hair. I use the same method as a wash day, except just using the Curly Q's cupcakes and cream conditioner and coconut oil.
For styling I keep this just as simple as her wash routine. I first spray her hair with either water in a spray bottle or the Shea Moisture kids Detangler. I love this along side the Curl Enhancing Smoothie. Both of these product make her hair smooth as butter baby. Haha. Seriously you can't beat the price either.
To finish her hair when I style I love the Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel.
I know these might not be the fanciest products out there but they work, and most importantly makes my life a lot easier. I purchased all of these products at Target.
